Oshima Trench Coat
AI-JUJI
AI-JUJI
Jujigasuri (Cross Kasuri)
A mud-dyed weave with neatly arranged indigo cross ikat patterns.
From a distance it looks like muddy brown, but when you get closer the indigo emerges, making this a simple yet tasteful Oshima Tsumugi.
Kasuri is a weaving technique in which pre-dyed threads are used as the warp , weft, or both to create patterns.
We were fortunate to come across a set of haori and kimono with a weight and delicacy reminiscent of Oshima in its heyday, and we wanted to let you experience the true essence of Kasuri weaving. We used a technique that creates a single pattern .
The buttons are different French antiques.
The mulberry leaf dyed lining of the body pays homage to silk.
