ABOUT US

From "old" to "new"

Vintage kimonos and obi sashes have a breathtaking soul.

The originality of the colors, the tricks of the patterns and designs, the incredible intricacy... It is unfortunate, but it is not uncommon that the excellent textiles that Japan produced in the past cannot be reproduced today.

I can't help but feel grateful that, over such a long time, miracles have come together to make this happen.

We listen to the voice of this precious fabric, sense the imagination of its creator, and propose something special and new.

AITTA's Work

Food, clothing, and shelter. These precious handicrafts were born out of the Japanese culture.

No matter how much the times change, it still remains as a source of comfort in our daily lives, without us even realizing it.

One example of this is the textiles that give shape to the precious blessings we receive from nature.

Our desire is to breathe new life into and revive the treasures that people have created, passed down, and protected, such as silk, cotton, linen, and wool.

A fateful encounter with special textiles. Unraveling, washing and straightening them. Keeping Japan's wonderful designs close at hand and in your everyday life.

That's what AITTA does.
