MATSU-KAZE
MATSU-KAZE
The sound of the wind blowing through the pine treetops.
Also called "Shorai," in the tea ceremony there is an elegant moment when you listen to the sound of the water boiling in the kettle and contemplate the sound of the wind blowing through the old pine forest.
Then, towards the end of the tea ceremony, a ladle of water is poured into the boiling kettle.
At that moment, the hissing sound of "Matsukaze" disappeared in an instant and "silence" descended.
This is apparently a part of the tea ceremony where you can experience a deep sense of tranquility.
This beautiful phrase, which appears in many novels, has been stylized as representing the Japanese spirit of wabi-sabi, and the image of the pine tree continues to be loved today.
A pine forest of paradise with strong pines that never wither and spread their green branches, and cranes descending from them.
This is an outstanding piece with a contrasting pine tree that stands out against the black.
Family crest: One ginkgo tree, three stacked pine trees
